Inhumane
Eating Animals is about Jonathan Safran Foer researching the truth about the process of killing the animals people eat and society being aware and not being able to do anything about it. Foer quotes the Common Farming Excemptions (CFE) on Nevada not imposing laws to "prohibit or interfer with established methods of animal husbandry, including the raising, handling, feeding, housing, and transporting of livestock or farmed animals" (Foer 51). In allowing the CFE to do this people do not have the right to change the manner in which farm animals are treated. The CFE permits any type of cruel treatment towards farm animals as long as it is "commonly praticed" (Foer 50). It is sad that these animals cannot voice their pain and suffering and the people that can speak for them are prohibited by laws to do so. I believe that inhumane is an understatement for the situations that farm animals have to endure.

Hello,
ReplyDeletemy name is Chris and I am the other student from ENG101. I read all of your blogs and really like the style you chose to present them. It's interest to see a different perspective of Fast Food Nation, because you focused on the feeding/eating aspect (obvious because your cluster). Your blogs are clear and well written. If I would suggest you something to improve your blogs, my only advice would be, to write your blogs with two paragraphs. The first paragraph would include the issue and a thesis and the other your opinion or explanation. But I understand that these are just blogs and no essays. They are short and detailed, thank you for this experience.
Hello my name is Tynaisha and I am from the Eng101 class that Prof. J.R.Cooper teach. I really enjoyed reading your blogs they're very short but at the same time holds a lot of information. Your blogs are very clear, but it will also be good if you added a second paragraph including your own opinion and examples. Overall your blogs are interesting and fun to read.
